Casualties

In November 2022, there were no recorded incidents of explosive weapon use in Mexico which resulted in civilian casualties. Two armed-actor casualties were recorded in Mexico in November, both of whom were killed. 

On 26November 2022, two police officers were killed by an IED dropped by drones which landed on a local police station in the town of Encarnacion de Diaz.

Casualties

In September 2022, there were three recorded incidents of explosive weapon use in Mexico, one of which resulted in 10 civilian casualties, three of whom were killed and seven injured. Civilians accounted for 37% of all 27 casualties, as 17 armed actor casualties were also recorded, three of whom were killed and 14 injured. 

On 13 September 2022, three civilians were killed and seven injured in an IED explosion outside a drug rehabilitation clinic in San Luis Potosi.

In February 2022, there was one incident of explosive weapon use recorded in Mexico, which resulted in one civilian casualty. There were no armed-actor casualties recorded. 

On 14 February, a farmer with fields on the front line of warring drug cartels was killed by a roadside bomb in Michoacan.

Casualties

In September 2021, there was one recorded incident of explosive weapon use in Mexico, in which two civilians were killed and four injured, all men, in a bar in Salamanca, Guanajuato, when an IED was delivered by a motorcycle courier. The incident is being investigated as an act of terrorism related to rivalries between drug cartels.
