Casualties

In May 2022, there were two recorded incidents of explosive weapon use in Cambodia which resulted in two civilian casualties, of whom one was killed and one injured. There were no armed-actor casualties from explosive weapon use in May. 

On 22 May 2022, one civilian was killed when his tractor detonated a landmine in Preah Vihear.

Casualties

On 10 January 2022, in Preah Vihear province in Cambodia, an anti-tank mine leftover from Cambodia’s civil war that ended in 1998 exploded and killed three members of the local Cambodia Self Help Demining group as they performed their duties. A fourth deminer was injured.
